After having experienced two very different births myself, and still working through some pregnancy and birth trauma, I know that I want to step into this world and be part of the solution.

Whether you want to deliver in a hospital, at home or birth center, with all of the medications or none of them, I want your birth to be YOUR birth.

I want you to feel supported mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally. There are so many ways for me to offer that to you. For example, sometimes just adding an outside person with zero bias can offer the best type of support when it comes to challenging family dynamics, which in some cases can prevent certain situations from unfolding in the first place and can resolve a lot of stress for you. Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed physically and need an extra person to help you out around the house, explaining the events of birth or breastfeeding to your partner or children. A massage to relieve some tension and put your body in a better state for deeper sleep can be very beneficial. Or maybe as birth is approaching you are feeling scared and need a grounding and safe space to release your emotions. I will listen, comfort and stand by your side. There are so many more ways I can show up for you and to each mommy this will look differently. When we go over your plan to birth during your first prenatal visit, that is when we will discuss all of your goals and your worries, address each one and come up with a plan for each visit. These are however not set in stone. Your needs may change throughout our time together and that is okay. I will adapt to what your needs are.

If you’re worried at all about me as a stranger being part of such an intimate event, please know that we will get to know each other well before the actual birth so that when the time comes, it feels like we’ve been friends for a long time. I am so honored to go through your journey with you and will forever carry you in my heart as I hope you will me. Please know that I am here for you and that you will be a top priority to me.
